Doesn't the data transfer always hang on the PAL C64 when you load something
from the 1541 with enough sprites enabled?

PS: I got some memory oscilloscope dumps from the serial bus, from the traffic
between a C64 and a 1541, and between a C64 and my work-in-progress C2N232
serial bus interface. Everything seems to be as in the text document you sent
me, except that there were a few glitches on the ATN line. Last night, I
almost managed to load something to the VIC-20 from the C2N232 serial bus
interface. The data loaded okay, but there is some bug in my firmware that
causes it to properly handshake the following ATN bytes. It reports them
to the RS-232 interface, though.
